Here we have for sale a 1300 Cooper SPI Mini 1992 36,000 Miles

It is a restoration project but most of the welding work is done and the body shell is quite sound.

The doors are off and so is the bonnet (but they all come with the car).

The doors have been repaired at the bottom and are reasonable.

(I do have a pair of very late mini doors that may be purchased but will not be cheap unless the Car reaches a very good price, if the price is right I will also throw in a pair of NEW chrome bumpers)

It has a half leather interior that is quite dusty but with a clean will be will fine.

It has been off the road for about 4 years but has been stored in my heated garage waiting for tender care!

The rear sub-frame has had a plate on one side and will need a careful look to see if okay. The drivers sill at one time has been replaced and a plate in drivers footwell all seems quite sound. Some rust under the headlamps but not extensive.

The roof had some minor damage on it, it has been filled but not finished and I was going to fit a vinyl roof!

The history I have with the car seems to indicate that the mileage is correct (I have some old MOT’s) but I cannot guarantee it.

The engine will not start from cold, if you tip a drop of petrol down the intake it will run, I have been told that the ECU is in “get you home mode” as some of the air tubes have fallen off. Please be aware this Car has sat for some time and has not been checked over mechanically.

If you have some car DIY skills and time this will be a reasonable project!

The 1300i is now becoming quite a rare car and all the above things do not add up to bomb damage.

This could be a very nice car again as the body shell looks nice and straight. It will need some new parts ie: Wheel arches and exterior plastic trim etc.

I have been as honest as I can in the detail above, The only reason I am selling it is because my knees don’t work anymore
