Ferrofluid magnetic liquid - use with neodymium magnets


Description

The item for sale is one 120g bottle of Ferrofluid. This fascinating product is a liquid which responds to magnetic fields. Normally just a black oily liquid, when placed near a magnet, ferrofluid will leap onto a magnet, arranging itself into spikes as seen in the picture. Many people think the fluid sets into the spiky shapes, but no. If you touch the spikes you can feel that they are still liquid.

Ferrofluid was developed years ago by NASA as a means of controlling liquids in zero gravity. Today they have a wide range of uses, from cooling and damping high performance speakers in PA systems to providing top performance dampers on cars and mountain bikes, to damping the hard disc drive in your computer.

Our ferrofluid is manufactured here in the UK at our dedicated facility.
