Additional Information:
For rapid repairs to hard working lawns, banks and verges this seed mixture provides the quick growing grasses that will knit the surface back together creating a hardwearing turf better and stronger than before. It is important to create some tilth (loose soil) by vigorously raking over the entire area to be repaired before broadcasting the seeds. Gently rake over again to mix the seeds and soil together then firm down by rolling or treading in. This not only puts the seed into contact with soil moisture and out of reach from most birds but also stops the seeds from floating away during heavy rainfall. These grasses can also be used over an entire lawn, particularly after spring and autumn moss or thatch removal or after general scarifying. Regular overseeding encourages an even, dense sward with good colour and reduced space for weed invasion.
