If your heater is not warming the tank enough please check that you have ordered the correct size and wattage. As a guide 1w of power will normally heat just under 1lt of water to 26c in a well-heated house. If your aquarium is in a cold location or you require a temperature of more than 26c you should choose the next highest wattage.

If the Glass housing becomes cracked or broken during use then the heater is not normally covered by the manufacturers warranty. The only way that the glass can shatter normally is through a knock or through heat shock (which is caused by plugging in the heater out of water or by moving a hot heater into or out of the water). Please position your heater so that no aquarium decoration can fall onto it, and protect it from the unwanted attention of large or aggressive tank mates.
