This auction is for 100g of these very cute Chinese Puerh Mini Tuocha compressed tea cakes. Each pack contains 18 individually wrapped tuochas. Just pop one in a tea pot or infuser each day and brew yourself up a delicious cup of pure puerh tea made from only the best compressed whole leaves from the Yunnan region of China.
Each cake can be reinfused throughout the day (making approx 3-5 cups of tea) so they not only make a superior cup of tea compared to most puerh tea bags, they work out very economical too. I've been a massive Puerh fan for a long time now and these are my absolute faves!
Puerh tea is traditionally pressed into bricks or cakes of tea leaves and mini tuocha's provide a handy way of experiencing the tea at it's best.

What is Puerh?
Puerh is a very special and unique style of tea and is also know as Dark or
"Black" tea, Puer, Pu'erh or Pu-Erh tea in Mandarin and Poo Nee in Cantonese.
Puerh's health benefits
Drinking Puerh tea is shown to aid in digestion and to reduce blood cholesterol and lipid levels, counteracting the unpleasant effects of heavy alcohol consumption. In traditional Chinese medicine, the tea is believed to invigorate the spleen and inhibit "dampness." In the stomach, it is believed to reduce heat and "descends qi".
Puer tea is rich in flavonoids
which are particularly beneficial in fighting against infection and
maintaining capillary walls in human circulatory
system.
Puer has been introduced to the west though primarily due to it’s reputed weight loss benefits - stimulating the metabolism and making the body burn fat and
calories more efficiently resulting in weight loss through regular consumption.
Chinese medicine has long revered the healing powers of this tea and used it
as a "herb" for a long time. It's also reputed to be used by Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Josh Stone and Jerry Hall amongst others to help keep the pounds off!
