Aquatic Plant Collection 100 Easy to Grow Plants
These are probably the best aquatic plants for sale on Ebay. Don't take our word for it, see our feedback and our guestbook for what customers have said about our plants. For this collection we have only chosen species of aquatic plants which are quick growing, hardy, and undemanding, you won't find an easier to grow collection anywhere. If you after more specific please see our other listings.
What you see in our photographs is what your collection should look like, you won't get something unrecognisable. You can turn this collection into a thriving and beautiful planted tank, but we can't do that automatically for you, you still have to do the hard part, our Aquatic Plant Growing Guides might help here, so please read them - and vote!
This is an ideal collection for anyone starting out growing plants, or for anyone who wants to fill a tank at a reasonable price. There are enough plants here to easily fill a 36", or 48" tank.
The exact contents of your order may vary as aquatic plants vary in quality and supply, and many are seasonal, but we guarantee you will get a varied and beautiful collection with many traditional favourites and others less well known.
We order our plants direct from nurseries in the Far East as they are of the best quality and arrive extremely fresh. Our prices are low because we buy plants in direct (not via some middleman) and because we don't place a huge mark up on them. Our prices are not cheap because we cut corners - please check out our longterm feedback to confirm this.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:
- All of your plants will be hand picked for quality. We store them in well lit tanks and never hold them for more than a few days before posting them. The total time it takes the plants to get from a nursery in the tropics to you is usually considerably less than a week!
- You will receive 100(+) plants in a combination of individual crown plants, cuttings, etc... (some with roots, some without).
- None of your plants will be bunched or leaded, you can't grow plants in leaded bunches - if they needed lead (or ceramic) weights they would have evolved them by now. Our guides can advise on how to get your plants established in your aquarium and growing naturally.
- All of your plants will usually be
either: a. crown plants or b. cuttings of stem plants, occassionally we
may send bulbs or rhizome plants too. Most require planting in the
substrate as explained in our guides and elsewhere, all will quickly
grow if provided with the right conditions
(please see our guides for more info.).
- All of your plants will be true aquatics. In other words plants which can be grown easily underwater in a standard fishtank, all that is required is that you provide for their basic needs: lighting, substrate, fertilisation etc...
- You will not get any plants which are not true aquatics, e.g.
Dracena, 'Borneo Sword', 'Umbrella Plant', 'Fountain Plant' etc...
These non-aquatic plants will not grow emersed and will eventually rot
and pollute your tank.
- We can not ship live plants to Europe or the rest of the World, please do not bid if you live outside the UK.
- We do not ship plant orders recieved after noon on Weds until the following Mon or Tues, because of potential delays in delivery over the weekend, if you would like to recieve your plants by the weekend please order before noon on the proceeding Weds. All plant orders are sent first class and usually arrive within 24-72 hours of posting.
- The plants are sent bagged to keep them moist and
carefully packed in a cardboard box to prevent them getting crushed. They should
be Okay packaged this way for several days and won't suffer from being
chilled (so long as they are not frozen), but obviously the sooner they
are in your tank the better. This
collection will come in one box which is small enough to fit through
most post boxes (although there are so many different sizes and shapes of post box here in the UK we aren't guaranteeing anything!).
- When you first get your plants please soak them in a bucket of tapwater and/or give them a very good rinse under the tap. This will revitalise them and wash off any anti-snail treatments used on them. This is particularly important if you keep live snails or shrimps and other crustaceans, which are extremely sensitive to these chemicals. Given a good rinse under the tap and left to soak in a bucket for 24 hours all such chemicals will be washed off.
As stated above the individual species included will vary, but you will never recieve less than 10 different species to allow for a beautiful and varied display.
Species typically included are:
