How to measure carriers

The first measurement is straight across the bottom of the bag. The second measurement is across the bag with the gussets opened out and third measurement is from the base of the bag to the tip of the handle.  The legal measurement for the UK is Decimal and manufacturers of both plastics and paper are allowed a tolerance of + or – 5% although are rarely more than 1% out  This is the industry standard for all side gusset carriers.
