We comply fully with the DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS.
Whenever you make a purchase on the internet, over the telephone or via mail order, as a consumer (rather than a business customer) the Distance Selling Regulations offer you certain rights to change your mind and cancel your order. You have seven days from the date you receive your goods to change your mind about the purchase and cancel the order. These seven days are intended to give you the same opportunity to view the item(s) and make an informed decision about the purchase as if you were viewing it in a shop, for example to verify the colour, or size of the item is how you expected it to be. The distance selling regulations give you the right to return the item(s) if the item is not as you perceived it to be. The regulations are not intended for you to try out the goods and then decide if you like them, in fact there are specific exceptions to the distance selling regulations regarding products like computer software, which can only be returned if all seals remain intact. Generally we are happy for you to examine the goods and satisfy yourself they are fit for your needs, which may include carefully trying the product - however you should exercise due care when unpacking and trying any products, keep ALL packaging, and any software, manuals, registration certificates, or security seals MUST remain intact. Products that are customised (which includes items off the roll which are cut to length and are sold by the meter) can not be returned under the distance selling regulations, as customised products are EXCLUDED. If you are in any doubt as to how you should proceed with regarding to returning a product, please contact one of our staff who will be pleased to provide additional information.
You must inform us within 7 days of receipt of the item(s) that you wish to cancel the purchase, and you then have a further 7 days in which to return the items. You do not have to return the item(s) yourself, you may request that we collect them from you, however we are entitled to charge you for collecting the item(s) and often this will cost significantly more than sending them back yourself. Until you return any unwanted items, you have a DUTY OF CARE over the items - that is to say you have to look after them, and keep them in good condition until they are returned. Once the goods are returned, we are required under the distance selling regulations to give a refund within 28 days - although normally we will issue a refund much quicker than this. Please allow sufficient time for us to check any returned items, and you should be aware that we may have a queue of items to process, and we will process return requests in the order that they are received. We normally aim to process and refund returned items within 7 working days. No refunds are available for services that have already commenced or have been provided. The delivery charge of sending goods out to you is not part of the item price, it is a service provided to you. Once the item has been despatched from our warehouse, this service has commenced and can not be cancelled under the distance selling regulations.
Your right to cancel a purchase under the distance selling regulations is different to any rights you have under the sale of goods act which covers matters such as the item(s) being free of defects, and the item(s) being suitable for the purpose for which they are intended.
You MUST contact us before returning any goods, to check if they can be accepted as per the distance selling regulations and to obtain a return number. If you fail to do this it will delay processing of your return, and it is also possible you may return an item which we are unable to provide a refund for.
Any faulty items will be dealt with as per the Sale of Goods Act, you should contact us for further information regarding repairs or replacement of items under the standard 12 month warranty we offer with all NEW goods. |
