10 MIXED FELTING NEEDLES
The pack contains the following sizes:
3 x 38 gauge triangular, six barbs
4 x 40 gauge triangular, six barbs
3 x 43 gauge triangular, six barbs
Our felting needles are top quality industrial strength and designed to make up to 30 million strokes before they wear out!!
This mixed pack is ideal for fine fibres, such as merino wool and exotics such as camel, cashmere, etc. You can choose from a selection to suit the type of needlefelting work you like to do.
All the needles have blades which are triangular in cross-section.
As a guide to the different gauges available, the bigger the number, the finer the point of the needle. So a 43 gauge needle is used for fine Merino wool, and for finishing off a project, while a 32 gauge needle will be most suitable for coarser wool and starting projects.
As these needles are very sharp, safety in use and storage is important. We are now supplying all our colour-coded needles in strong reusable plastic boxes.

19 gauge, triangular blade – orange
32 gauge, triangular blade – purple
36 gauge, triangular blade – green
38 gauge, triangular blade – red
40 gauge, triangular blade – blue
43 gauge, triangular blade – yellow
38 gauge, star blade – not coloured
