1.6i ASTRA GLS *AUTOMATIC* Spares or Repair (Cheap fix)

Hello and welcome to my auction for this beautiful Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Automatic estate. I'm sure if you're considering bidding on this car then your know your stuff, but I must say it does drive really well. It is very cheap to tax and insure and nippy too. The automatic gearbox is lovely and smooth and makes my manual truck seem clunky!  The bodywork is excellent condition with no rust or dents and only a light scuff on the front corners (cheap to fix).  The interior is very nice condition, no rips or tears and has obviously been a cherished vehicle. Being a 'GLS' model it comes with lots of creature comforts; electric windows, CD player, sunroof, plush upholstry and alloy wheels amongst others. Put the seats down and it really is cavernous!

The engine pulls well, with no smoke and starts on the button. The reason the car is advertised as spares or repairs is it failed it's MOT. It needs new disks and pads on the front, a lambda sensor and a ball joint doing. A failure sheet can be supplied and my local garage will do a retest for £10. The cost of the new parts is £137, but I'm sure Trents (Or your local vehicle dismantler) will help you out for about £50! Part exchange to clear and will sell to the highest bidder with no reserve.

Good:

• VERY low milage for age
• Tyres all have lots of tread, and nearly new
• Decent History file
• No rust on the arches (many suffer, and shoddy repairs are common)
• Straight bodywork
• Excellent interior

Bad:

• Scuffs on front bumper
