Y-K 1:144 Scale Decals - 84 x German W.W.II. Aircraft Crosses (Balkenkreuz) for Fighters and Light Bombers - including Bf109, Fw190, Me110, Ju87 Stuka, Ar234, etc..

This is a macro-sheet of water slide decals (transfers) for customising German military aircraft models from W.W.II. Measuring 5.5 mm, 6.0, 7.0 and 11 mm square on plan (0.22" to 0.44"), these YK decals fit a wide range of 1:144 model aircraft sizes including Bf109, Fw190, Stuka Ju87, Me110, Arado AR-234 etc.. HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The majority of Luftwaffe units used a simple four digit / letter code for aircraft identification. Jagdgeschwader (Luftwaffe fighter wings) used a system appropriate for combat which allowed quick air-to-air identification. Stab aircraft were identified by fairly large symbols, usually placed forward of the fuselage Balkenkreuz (cross). APPLYING DECALS

The decals have been printed on full page film using an ALPS printer. This means that each decal should be closely trimmed to remove surplus film before immersing in water. I personally use Humbrol Decal Fix and always recommend this or a similar adhesive / softner when applying water slide decals. When dry the decals should be selaed with mat varnish.
